The Nerve Connection: Why So Many Mystery Symptoms Trace Back to a Virus
If your strangest symptoms are the ones nobody can explain, I want to show you a thread that ties a lot of them together.
We've been taught to think of viruses as things that live in your blood, make you sick for a week, and get flushed out. But the herpes family... Epstein-Barr, HHV-6, HSV-1, and the rest... doesn't work that way. These viruses hide in your nerves. Your nerve roots, your cranial nerves. They go dormant there, and when they reactivate, they inflame the very nerves they're hiding in.
That one fact explains so much. When the problem is a virus irritating a nerve, the symptoms don't look like an infection. They look neurological, physical, and random. Which is exactly why they get missed for years.
Here are three examples I see all the time.

The widespread pain that gets called fibromyalgia. Epstein-Barr settles into the nerve roots and keeps them inflamed, and the whole body hurts. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia at 11 years old, and it took me decades to learn that chronic Epstein-Barr had been underneath it the entire time.

Dizziness, vertigo, and that off-balance feeling. HHV-6 has a strong pull toward the brain and central nervous system, right where your balance and vestibular function are controlled. When it's active, it can show up as dizziness and that floaty, unsteady feeling that's so hard to describe and even harder to get taken seriously.
- Jaw and TMJ pain that no night guard seems to fix. HSV-1, the cold sore virus, lives in the trigeminal nerve that runs through your jaw and face. When it flares, it inflames that nerve, and the pain shows up in your jaw even when the joint itself looks fine.
Different symptoms. Different locations. The same mechanism underneath: a virus irritating a nerve.
This is why chasing each symptom on its own so rarely works. You can treat the jaw, the dizziness, and the pain as three separate problems forever and never touch what's actually driving them. When your symptoms don't fit a neat box, a chronic virus is often the reason.
Where I'd Start
Because these viruses hide behind a protective envelope, the support that makes sense is one that can actually reach them. Monolaurin dissolves that envelope, and Lysine slows viral replication and weakens the virus.
